It was so important for us to find a house that was walking distance to almost anything and we found it ('Walk Score' gives it an 84 out of 100)! Distance of neighborhoods: Downtown / Pearl District & NW 23rd (less than a 10 minute drive) N. Williams (10 minute walk or 3 minute drive) Mississippi (20 minute walk or 5 minute drive) Alberta Arts (5 minute drive) Outdoors: Irving Park (5 minute walk) Forest Park (10 minute drive) Mt. Hood, Mt. Saint Helens, and the Coast (~90 minutes away) The Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls, and Hood River (30-45 minute drive) Business Travel: The Oregon Convention Center is a short 5-10 minute bus ride away and the PDX Airport is a 15-20 minute drive. There is ample parking on the street if you have your own car, no permits required. The bus stop is a two minute walk away and it's so easy to plan trips using the Hop Fastpass or website. Some info on Public Transportation: *The #6 bus can be picked up two blocks from our house on MLK and Knott or MLK and Stanton: 15 minutes to downtown 5 minutes to the Alberta Arts District and Dekum Triangle *The #6 can also take you to the light rail Max train that can take you to both downtown and The Pearl. *Also, three blocks away on Vancouver and Stanton is the #44 and the #4 (they drop you off two blocks away on the way back) and they also go downtown and to Old Town.
